Outbreak Company Episode 9

Coming into the last month of the Fall season, two show discussions continue to demand the most attention, as they have for most of the season: Golden Time and Log Horizon. Both discussions have in common a willingness from their participants to discuss how those stories are being told just as much as the stories themselves. But as Golden Time’s storytelling is now expanding in multiple, sometime perplexing, directions every week, Log Horizon’s is beginning, instead, to finally tighten, delivering on promises and allaying some fears. As the latter calms down, waiting to see what’s next, the former is approaching a roiling boil. So that Golden Time may, in a few weeks’ time, be the runaway “winner” in not only the number of posts, but the sheer number of words thrown at its tangled romantic web.

Both titles, however (as well as the third most popular show by discussion, Kill La Kill), are continuing into the Winter season, and even with new competition seem unlikely to give up much ground. There’s still too much to figure out.

In the mean time, this feature has adopted a new, less technical name. So welcome, again and for the first time, to In Fans’ Own Words: Highlights from General Anime Discussions, still a selection of weekly comments from the episodic discussion threads in the General Anime Discussions forum of The Fandom Post. If you like what you read, or even if you don’t, or if a title you care about isn’t being featured enough (or at all), please explore the forum, see the Official Discussion Guidelines FAQ for questions about posting, and join in the conversation.

(Warning! The following discussion selections, presented each on its own series page, with the episode numbers listed on top, will most often be of recently aired episodes, so beware of spoilers if you have not seen the episodes discussed.)
