Flying Dog has a new two minute promo out today that highlights a number of things coming out from their production of Arpeggio of Blue Steel with a look at the Blu-ray and DVD releases, soundtracks and more. The production company has worked a strong marketing effort on the series and this compilation of spots (which amusingly opens with a look at Ghost in the Shell: Arise) definitely sets anticipation well for the first volume due out on December 27th.
Known as Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio in Japan, the series is based on the manga by Ark Performance, which has seven volumes on hand so far in Japan, the new show is being directed by Seiji Kishi based on scripts by Makoto Uezu.
Plot Concept: In the story, a Fleet of Fog loaded with super weapons suddenly appear all over the world. Without the ability to withstand this fleet, humanity was defeated and could no longer travel the seas. 17 years after the devastating naval war, Chihaya Gunzou and his friends somehow commandeer a Fleet of Fog submarine and rename it I-401. Together with Iona, they take on the Fleet of Fog.
