It’s old school acquisition week this week from Discotek Media as the company has picked up a couple of titles that were released previously but also a couple that have never seen release. All of them are slotted for an unspecified 2014 release.
On the new side, they’ve added a bit more to their Lupin the 3rd family of titles with Bye Bye Liberty Crisis, which has never seen release domestically before. This TV special came out back in the spring of 1989 and has long been sought after by fans hoping to see more of the specials. Check out the details on them below!
On the license rescue side, they’ve picked up the two Fatal Fury OVA titles that came out in late 1992 and early 1993. They’ve also picked up the rights to the fall 1994 series DNA 2, which saw release previously from Central Park Media. And they’ve also rescued the two part 1993 OVA series that is still sadly incomplete with Dragon Half, which was released in the past decade by ADV Films.
