With the film getting ever closer, Marvel is bringing out a bit more to try and bring the fans in. The latest featurette focuses a bit on the relationship between Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Natalie Portman as Jane Foster. They had their moments in the first film, though it was kept pretty tame, and we saw mostly concern from his side in The Avengers. But now she’s getting drawn even more fully into his world at a critical time while dealing with the issues his family has with those of shorter lifespans.
The feature is set to land on November 8th as the second installment of Phase Two of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Plot concept: Thor: The Dark World continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s “Thor” and “Marvel’s The Avengers,” Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.
