After the trailer hit a few weeks back, we’ve got a new bit of news with the upcoming Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit feature. The film is the latest one to move from the crowded holiday season to a new date as it’s now set for a January 17th, 2014 release date instead of December 25th. Which is leaving me with far less to go see on Christmas day. Paramount’s move to January certainly gives it some breathing room and it also allows them to move The Wolf Of Wall Street to that date if Martin Scorsese can get it done in time since that would put it in prime Oscar running.
Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit is not a continuation of the character from previous works but rather a reboot of the character that deals with the younger days stories. With the film inching closer, and some words here and there about a potential delay, check out the trailer below for the film now that has Chris Pine as the lead of what they hope is a new franchise again.
