Based on the light novel series by Yūsaku Igarashi which ran for sixteen volumes overall before reaching completion, Crunchyroll has brought the two twelve episode seasons from 2008 and 2009 back onto the service. They had previously had the shows available for streaming but they had expired the licenses on them. The news came included in a report about their presence on the Ouya console and didn’t receive any additional notification about it, so it’s largely gone under the radar for a lot of the fans. Animated by Studio Barcelona, the show has not been picked up for home video release in North America by anyone. The novels spawned the two seasons and a four episode OVA that came out in 2012 as well as a couple of games.

Plot concept: Yūto Ayase attends Hakujō Academy, a private high school in Japan. His classmate, Haruka Nogizaka, is not only very attractive, but is intelligent and rich, garnering her the title as the school’s idol. However, one day when Yūto’s friend asks him to return a book to the library, he unexpectedly stumbles across Haruka and her deepest, darkest secret—she is an otaku!! Promising to keep her secret hidden, Yūto and Haruka become close friends, helping Haruka with her secret hobby and developing their relationship together.
