Originally released in a full limited edition form back in April 2011, Nozomi Entertainment is now bringing back Antique Bakery in its complete form for a priced-down litebox edition. The release will bring the series out on February 4th, 2014 for a list price of $39.99 for the twelve episode series that originally ran on the noitaminA block. This new set will feature the complete 12-episode anime with Japanese audio and English-language subtitles. On-disc extras will include the clean opening and closing, live event coverage, and an interview with AKB48 member Tomomi Kasai, who voices a supporting role in the series.
Plot concept: Kidnapped as a child, Keiichiro Tachibana’s had trouble coming to terms with the haunting memory. He doesn’t remember much, only that the kidnapper forced him to eat sweets. As a way of dealing with his past, Tachnibana decides to open a bakery. But will his choice in staff – a playboy patisserie who’s been fired from every job he’s ever had, an ex-boxer with a huge sweet tooth, and an absent-minded childhood friend – be a recipe for disaster or success?
