Crunchyroll Adds ‘Hajime No Ippo: The Fighting! –Rising’ For Fall 2013 Anime Lineup

Crunchyroll has another series that’s debuting today to announce with a sports series that will definitely go over well in a lot of territories around the world with Hajime No Ippo: The Fighting!–Rising. This third series adaptation of the manga is set to broadcast every Saturday starting on October 5, 2013 at 2:00pm ET for premium members while free members are able to watch one week later. The seres will be available to viewers in the U.S.A, Canada, UK, Ireland, Iceland, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark Turkey, Spain, Portugal, Central and South America, and the Carribbeans.

Plot concept: Hajime No Ippo is a Japanese boxing manga written and illustrated by George Morikawa and has appeared in Weekly Shonen Magazine since 1989. After being frequently bullied as a child, Ippo’s encounter with the sport of boxing inspired him to think about what true strength really is. Ippo has endured the kind, yet rigorous, instruction of Coach Kamogawa and defeated one powerful opponent after another. He mastered his signature punch, the Dempsey roll, and even became the champion of all Japan. But even as champion, he still hasn’t found the meaning of “true strength”…
