The series is drawing to a close and that times out well for fans that want to pick up the first volume on DVD or Blu-ray in Japan for Studio Gokumi’s Kiniro Mosaic, aka Kinmoza. Media Factory laid out their plans for release of the show on DVD and Blu-ray previously and now have a new commercial for the first volume. The slice of life school comedy is set for a twelve episodes and that means we’er getting six DVD and Blu-ray releases which will begin today, on September 25th. The Blu-ray releases will run 7,350 yen each while the DVD releases will run 6,300 yen each. The releases will have special jackets done up for them and it appears that the first volume will have some good extras, including an event digest of the first two episodes and a character commentary. The limited edition/first press extras look to include a booklet, priority tickets and a character song CD among other things.

Crunchyroll simulcast the series over the summer season and Sentai Filmworks previously picked up the home video rights for it.

Plot concept: The story begins with Oomiya Shinobu, a 15-year-old, seemingly pure Japanese girl who actually did a homestay in Great Britain. Even after coming back to Japan, she still misses her time overseas. One day, an airmail letter arrives from Alice, the girl in Shinobu’s host family in Great Britain. The letter reads: Shinobu, I’m coming to Japan! The Japanese/British girls’ mixed comedy follows the lives of Shinobu, Alice, and other girls from both Japan and Great Britain.
