With the series debut just around the corner, Kadokawa Shoten has let loose with the home video release plans for Yuusha ni Narenakatta Ore wa Shibushibu Shuushoku wo Ketsui Shimashita, which I hope everyone will shorten to Yu Sibu. The series will begin released on Blu-ray and DVD on December 27th with a new volume following each month where the Blu-ray release will have limited editions priced at 7980 yen each and DVD releases at 6930 yen each. The Blu-ray release for the first volume limited edition will come with a bonus CD that contains the soundtrack, an audio drama and a radio digest as well as a short novel written by the original creator. Add in a 12 page booklet as well. On disc extras include promotional video material and event footage.

Subsequence volumes will come with similar extras as well, though on-disc extras and contents of the bonus CD are subject to change. Each disc will have two episodes as the series will be getting a six disc run.

Yuusha ni Narenakatta Ore wa Shibushibu Shuushoku wo Ketsui Shimashita (which translates to I, Who Didn’t Become a Hero, Reluctantly Decided to Find a Job) debuts on October 4th in Japan. Based on the light novel series by Jun Sakyou and Masaki Inuzumi that began back in 2012, the anime adaptation is being directed by Kinji Yoshimoto based on scripts by Masashi Suzuki. Animation is being done by Asread.

Plot concept: The story revolves around Raul, a boy who did not become a Hero, since the demon lord was already defeated just before his Hero exams. His dreams dashed, Raul spends his days working at a magic shop in the capital. One day, a part-time job seeker appears at the shop with an amazing résumé:

Name: Phino
Previous Occupation: Demon Lord Heir
Motive: Because my father was defeated

The work comedy revolves around this former Hero-in-training and the daughter of the demon lord.
