2 min read

Rurouni Kenshin New Kyoto ArcIt’s been a good time for Rurouni Kenshin fans in the last year or so as the property has undergone a revival due to the live action film, which resulted in a new adaptation of some of the manga as well as a new interpretation of the original manga from the original creator. Sentai Filmworks picked up the two part OVA film seriesNew Kyoto Arc, and release it earlier this summer on DVD and Blu-ray. They’ve also now slid the show, in its original subtitled form, over to Hulu to gain wider distribution and more fans that hopefully pick up the home video as well after sampling the show here. Like other recent additions, the two part show can be streamed beyond just the computer, provided you have Hulu Plus.

Plot concept: Although she’s only sixteen and looks even younger, Misao Makimachi is already a skilled and competent member of the Oniwabansh ninja clan. Which is a fortunate thing when she stumbles upon a plot to overthrow the Meiji government! Get ready for blades to flash and blood to flow as Nobuhiro Watsuki’s acclaimed Rurouni Kenshin returns at long last to the world of animation in an epic masterpiece: Rurouni Kenshin – New Kyoto Arc!
