One of several shows that FUNimation picked up during Anime Expon 2012, we finally have a glimmer of news when it comes to Ikki Tousen – Great Guardians. FUNimation announced their acquisition of the series back on June 30th, 2012 along with the sequel season, Xtreme Xecutor, but we’ve heard very little about it since. Pretty much everything else that was announced that day has gotten release or is in the process of coming out and announced. But now, according to a listing in Diamond Previews, it looks like the show may be coming in January 2014 for the first of the two seasons picked up.
The preliminary information lists it as this:
