The English Track forum on The Fandom Post has been, since its creation on the AnimeonDVD.com forums more than a dozen years ago, an engaging source of anime dub commentary, review, complaint, and celebration. Last year, the forum’s moderation staff started a new tradition, the Summer Dub Festival. Every year, forum users write about notable or favorite selections from the long history of dubs, focused on a single theme.
The theme for the current 2013 Summer Dub Festival, now running into August, is Comedy: 2013 Discussion Thread. (If you’re not already a member, we encourage new readers to register on the forums to join the Festival: post your thoughts on current selections, or suggest and add your own by visiting the Festival Organizing thread.)
The Festival’s inaugural year, in 2012, was all about Action. It featured discussions on 17 different dubs from the past two decades from across the dubbing industry. Following are some highlights from all of the contributors to the Festival during its 24-day run, featuring a wide variety of “Action Dubbing”. Enjoy!
