With it being a given this point that Christian Bale is not coming back after everything that he’s said, and even now Armie Hammer saying he has no interest in taking on the role of Batman, there’s going to be quite the casting processing gearing up soon. Hammer, who is actually working with Henry Cavill in The Man From UNCLE next month when filming begins, doesn’t have much of an interest in superheroes at all:
“I’m not actually a big fan of superhero films,” he said in an interview while speaking with Metro. “If you have a guy who is supposed to be invulnerable, then what’s the point?”
The field is pretty open for what they can do when it comes to casting, especially since it’s not bound to anything that came before and they did some changes with Superman himself.
That brings down the question of who to cast? I’ll admit, I’m still pulling for a dark horse approach with the little know Tyler Hoechlin from Teen Wolf since he has the physique for it and could definitely work it similar to what we’ve seen from Batman during the New 52 Justice League relaunch from 2011.
