Aniplex is making sure fans of Madoka Magica aren’t going to be waiting too long to get to see the third and final installment in the film trilogy as Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part 3: Rebellion has just gotten a trailer that notes that it will be coming to theaters in the U.S. this winter. The first two films have been screened so far, both of which were released over the course of two weekends in Japan in October 2012, which is leading up to the third film which is changing up things from how the series went and is considered an original work than an adaptation and fits in far more as a sequel/continuation of what’s come before.
Plot concept: Following Madoka’s rewriting of the universe, Homura now lives in a world where witches are no longer born but despair still manifests in creatures known as wraithes which magical girls continue to fight against. Aside with facing new enemies, Homura must deal with her loneliness which had built up since her separation from Madoka.
