One of the more expected by highly welcome summer simulcast announcements has come through with the third season of The World God Only Knows, which is getting the Goddesses subtitle to it. The series, which has had its first two seasons simulcast on Crunchyroll and released on DVD and Blu-ray by Sentai Filmworks, will kick of fon Monday, July 8th, at 2pm ET for premium members and a week later for free members. The best though is that the series will be available worldwide excluding Asia, Belgium, France, and Switzerland.
Plot Concept: The third season of the popular anime series The World God Only Knows, The World God Only Knows: Goddesses follows the protagonist, dating-sim champion Keima Katsuragi and his demon companion Elsie de Lute Ima once again as he attempts to win the hearts of various girls, this time in order to awaken the six goddesses residing within them. Only this time, the girls are those Keima has already helped, so he must conquer their hearts a second time, as their memories of falling in love with him the first time around have been erased.
Hiro Shimono, who’s also played various roles including Daichi Muroto in Kotoura-san and Alba in Senyu, returns to reprise his role as Keima, while Kanae Ito, Amu Hinamori from Shugo Chara! and Sena Kashiwazaki from Haganai, returns as well for Elsie. Director Satoshi Osedo, who also previously directed the The World God Only Knows OVA(2012), will be helming the series with series composition by Hideyuki Kurata and music by Hayato Matsuo, both of whom also worked on the previous seasons.
