Crunchyroll Adds Fifty-Two Episodes Of ‘Kaiji’ Anime Series

Based on the manga by Nobuyuki Fukumoto, which began in 1999 and ran for 48 volumes and inspired two live action features, Crunchyroll has added two seasons of Kaiji to its back catalog pickup list. The two series, Kaiji Ultimate Survivor and Kaiji Against All Rules are available to all premium members with twenty-six episodes for each series. Free users get twelve episodes today and Crunchyroll will a roll-out of eight episodes/week. The series is available to audiences in the USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, the Carribeans, and South/Central America.

Plot concept: Kaiji Ito is a total loser. He lives day by day gambling, making small debt and taking out his frustration on expensive imported cars. His life changes one day with a visit from a loan shark, Endo. Endo seduces the disheartened Kaiji, “You can wipe the debt away in one night.”
