One of the more anticipated summer series, and one that is doing something rare in leaping ahead by a dozen or so volumes of manga to tell a more current story, is The World God Only Knows: Goddesses Arc. The series is set to kick off soon in Japan and the first blush information for the home video release has surfaced. The third season of the show is going in the traditional route of a limited edition run for both the Blu-ray and DVD as well as the regular editions. Due to the early nature of it, there’s no details yet on what first press edition or on-disc extras there will be. The first volume of the series will land on September 25th, 2013 with the LE Blu-ray running for 7,140 yen and the LE DVD for 6,090 yen. The regular edition Blu-ray will retail for 6,090 yen while the regular edition DVD will go for a lower 5,040 yen. It’s expected that it will be a two episode per disc kind of release for the series. The first two seasons of the series have been previously picked up and licensed by Sentai Filmworks as well as various overseas partners in the UK and Australia, giving it a pretty wide reach. Plot Concept: The Jupiter Sisters, more commonly known as the Goddesses, are heavenly deities that paved the way to the creation of New Hell.
