Confirmations and information can come from some of the strangest places and the latest one is from a new video that Viz Media posted for the Neon Alley Loung where they hosted J-Pop star Kylee for a session. At the end of the session, there’s a look at some shows coming up for the network where they go over the usual array of titles we already know, but they also include the Tiger & Bunny: The Beginning movie, which is something that back at the Sunrise panel at Anime Boston we were told to wait a few weeks for in regards to more information from Viz Media. The company has confirmed with ANN that the promo piece is right and that more details will be coming. The Neon Alley broadcast of it will be in its English dub form as all shows on that network are, but any expected home video release will mirror what we saw for the TV run, which was bilingual DVD and Blu-ray releases.

Plot concept: Sternbild City is home to people called “Next,” who use their special abilities to protect the people as superheroes. These heroes solve cases and save lives so they can wear sponsor logos or acquire “hero points.” Their activities are documented on the popular program “Hero TV,” which picks the “King of Heroes” in a yearly ranking. The veteran hero Wild Tiger has always preferred to work alone, but now he’s been assigned the rookie Barnaby Brooks Jr., who has a different perspective on being a superhero.
