‘Star Wars’ Casting Basics Revealed

2 min read

Star WarsWhen it comes to the casting game, some of the most watched roles coming up will be for Star Wars: Episode VII. And that’s gotten a good boost today after a series of comically bad fake casting sheets have come up in the last few weeks. What’s changed this time is that the sheets come from the casting directors themselves as sent to agents,April Webster and Alyssa Weisberg in the U.S. and Nina Gold in the UK. The bits don’t say too much about anything in the end in a way, but it offers up plenty of speculation and areas for the diehard fans to run with based on the archetypes listed here.

A young man aged between 20 and 25, witty and smart, fit but not classically handsome,

Man in late twenties, also fit, but this one is handsome and confident.

Late teenage girl, independent, good sense of humour, also… physically fit .

Second young female, also late teens, tough, smart and physically fit.

Man in his forties, obviously physically fit, this one is a military type.

A man of around thirty or so, this one is an intellectual type.

Finally, a guy aged around seventy, strong opinions and tough.
