Game to anime adaptations aren’t quite as common as manga to anime adaptations, but there’s usually a steady stream of them. The latest one comes from Level-5, which is looking to bring Youkai Watch to the next stage. With the 3DS game coming up in July of this year, after getting some debut material back quite a ways ago as the debut trailer from 2011 will show, the time is ripe for the company to start promoting the multimedia approach for the property, which certainly makes sense. Details are slim at the moment but the indications out of Japan are just that it will have a January 2014 premiere and a manga adaptation that will kick off in December of 2013.

Plot Concept: The story line of the game goes about the main protagonist named Keita who discovers at one hot summer day an old capsule toy vending machine in the forest. Keita receives a mysterious watch which he meets a ghost butler with the name Whisper. Whisper tells Keita that the watch allows him to see supernatural creatures that he could never see before in a everyday life. Keita alongside with Whisper and his companion Kabanya explorers his town to search for other ghosts to battle.
