The summer season rollout of new promos and commercials continues and this time we’ve got a look at the upcoming light novel adaptation of Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi, which loosely translates to The Sunday Without God. The series comes from Madhouse Studios based on the light novel series from Kimihito Irie which began in 2010 and has seven volumes running already, along with a manga adaptation drawn by Abaraheiki which has three collected volumes so far. The series is being directed by Yūji Kumazawa, who was recently seen working on The Ambition of Oda Nobuna as the main director while also doing some smaller work in shows such as Welcome to the NHKHighschool of the Dead and Engage Planet Kiss Drum where he served as an episode director.

Check out the new 15 second spot below and the new minute long promo for the July 7th show.

Plot Concept: 15 years ago, God has abandoned the world. Humans are no longer born, the dead no longer dies. In this desolate world, the only ones who can give peace to the dead are the “gravekeepers”. On this day, the gravekeeper Ai meets her destiny. Hampine, a man with red eyes, astonishing beauty and silver hair and calling himself the “man-eating toy” appears in front of her. Ai embarks on a journey with him after he kills everyone in the village, believing him to be her father.
