You certainly can’t paint the upcoming CW series Reign as a Game of Thrones knockoff since it’s a historical drama, but it’s also not a surprise to see that the networks in some way will try to capitalize on it a big with the whole idea of playing with historical settings, romance, seduction, politics and danger. Reign is set for a fall 2013 broadcast on The CW as it deals with Mary, the Queen of Scots in 1557 France, produced by CBS Television Studios. you can see the youth skewing attempt at it here, but there are more than enough ripe areas to work with when it comes to the characters and time period to potentially make it exciting.
The series is slated for Thursdays this fall at 9pm following The Vampire Diaries.

- Torrance Coombs as Sebastian (Bash)
- Megan Follows as Catherine de’ Medici, Mary’s mother-in-law and wife of Henry II of France.
- Alan Van Sprang as King Henry II of France, Mary’s father-in-law.
- Rossif Sutherland as Nostradamus
