Media Factory has pulled together a new Blu-ray box set that will tantalize some fans for this fall with the release of Aoi Hana. The eleven episode series has seen release in the US from Lucky Penny Entertainment which got a subtitled only release, but now fans can get in on the Blu-ray goodness – sans subtitles of course – when it comes out in Japan on September 6th for 23,100 yen. The set will come with a brand new illustration for the box and will include the extras as seen on the previous DVD release, such as the clean opening and closing sequences, a new booklet and a promotoinal video that was released prior to the series broadcast.
Plot concept: “What if the one I love is a girl…?”
Tears have always come easily to Fumi, but as a child she could always count on her best friend, Akira, to cheer her up. After a decade apart, Fumi and Akira find themselves reunited by chance. But even as the two girls rediscover their friendship, with the start of the new school year Fumi becomes romantically involved with a tall, charismatic girl named Sugimoto. Fumi soon finds herself playing a balancing act between friendship and love.
