With the summer movies now getting more attention since the first big boys of the season have hit, Universal Pictures has let loose with a new clip from the very anticipated Despicable Me 2. Set for release on July 3rd, the film brings back some familiar voice actors for it with Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Miranda Cosgrove, Russell Brand, Al Pacino, Steve Coogan and Ken Jeong participating.

The first film was something of a surprise hit when it came out in 2010 as it was made for just $69 million by Illumination Entertainment and ended up grabbing $543 million worldwide just in theatrical receipts, never mind merchandising and ancillary products like home video and cable distribution.

Plot Concept: Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment’s worldwide blockbuster, “Despicable Me,” delighted audiences around the globe in 2010, grossing more than $540 million and becoming the 10th-biggest animated motion picture in U.S. history. In Summer 2013, get ready for more minion madness in “Despicable Me 2.” Chris Meledandri and his acclaimed filmmaking team create an all-new comedy animated adventure featuring the return of Gru (Steve Carell), the girls, the unpredictably hilarious minions… and a host of new and outrageously funny characters.
