Sparrow's Hotel Episode 6
Sparrow’s Hotel Episode 6
From feast to famine, almost literally.

What They Say:
The series revolves around Sayuri Satō, the new front desk worker at the Sparrow’s Hotel — “the closest hotel to Heaven.” Her special features are her large breasts and her skills of assassination. She takes down people who cause trouble in the business hotel with those skills, but she is in fact very unskilled when talking to the male hotel manager, and often bites her tongue.

The Review:

With Golden Week behind the hotel now, things are getting pretty quiet around there and trying to keep motivated after being so busy is difficult. Shirokawa isn’t handling it well as she’s depressed, especially since she dealt with it by going binge shopping and getting way too much. She’s in stark contrast from Sayuri though that’s all about spending her money on exercise gear of different types. Even worse, without anything going on at the hotel, Sayuri is worried about her skills getting rusty since there’s nobody to deal with, though they do find a few men that she can provide a smackdown on. There’s some cute bits with that and the interactions among the main trio, but like the hotel, things are pretty quiet here.

In Summary:
With so many of the episodes being overly busy with what they do, having a quieter episode actually does work rather nicely here. A little quality time among some of the staff helps to expand on them just a touch and that does go a bit towards making them a little more interesting, though they’re all still very much one dimensional overall. With it following up the chaos of the Golden Week episode, it’s nice to see the ebb and flow of a hotel with what goes on there and how some of the cultural aspects impact it.
