Fourth ‘Men In Black’ Gets Writer

2 min read

Men In BlackThough it may seem like a surprise, it shouldn’t be as Men in Black 4 has gotten a screenwriter with Oren Uziel coming on board the project. The third installment last year, which involved time travel and a spot on performance by Josh Brolin, brought in $624 million in theatrical receipts before even talking about home video and other delivery methods. Uziel was one of the writers on Mortal Kombat: Rebirth and has a new screenplay out there called The Kitchen Sink.

Of course, the obvious question is whether anyone will want to come back to the project after the third one and the various problems they had, including an incomplete script and filming that took some significant breaks. The folks at ComingSoon.net managed to ask Will Smith about the potential last year for a fourth film and he responded with:

“We’ll have to see what people say,” Smith said. “If there’s a good reaction to this movie, it’s not something I would be against. Hopefully we’re not going to keep the same pattern. It was five years between the first and second and ten years between the second and third. That would be twenty years. I’ll be 63 years old. It’s just not a good look.”
