The Japanese edit trailer for The Wolverine has landed and the film, which hits North America at the end of July, will debut there on September 13th. The edit for the trailer isn’t all that different in the end, though the pacing is a bit more of a build-up and it seems to go for more of a noir feeling, which is appropriate. But it’s interesting to see that it’s being retitled there as Wolverine: Samurai as opposed to The Wolverine. Check it out below.
Plot Concept: Set sometime after X-Men: The Last Stand, Logan travels to Japan, where he engages a mysterious figure from his past in a fight that has lasting consequences. Vulnerable for the first time, and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel, but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than ever before.
