One of the things that I’m definitely liking this season is that FUNimation is offering up with some of its simulcasts the subtitled versions of various opening and closing sequences. While these are often posted by others on YouTube over the course of the series, the simple real thing can often be hard to find because of various fan remixes, full length versions that are using the song itself with stills or the Japanese company has clamped down hard and they’re unavailable at all. Check out the subtitled opening for Karneval below, the simulcast they run on Monday’s ta 1:30pm ET with the song by GRANRODEO called “Henai no Rondo.”

Plot Concept: Armed with only an abandoned bracelet as a clue, Nai searches for someone dear to him. After a run in with a pick-pocket named Gareki, the two find themselves involved in a government set-up that leaves them wanted criminals. Desperate and on-the-run, Nai and Gareki turn to the country’s most powerful defense organization–“Circus”–for help.
