While fans outside of Japan have to wait until Wednesday for the finale for Magi, the show made its final broadcast of the season today and noted at the end that a second season will be coming, which can also be viewed on the official site. The series ran for twenty-five episodes this season and has been simulcast on Crunchyroll. The second season is slated for a Fall 2013 broadcast with the expectation that everyone will be returning and that A-1 Pictures will be animating it once again. The setting for this new season appears to be Magnostadt. The original series by Shinobu Ohtaka, which is being released by Viz Media, has been running since 2009 with sixteen volumes released in Japan to date, giving it plenty of material to work with for another season.

Series Concept: The story follows the travels of a boy named Aladdin around a strange land in which mysterious ruins called Dungeons are said to house priceless treasures. Together with Alibaba, a friend he met during his travels, Aladdin strives to conquer all of the Dungeons and obtain their treasures. Through all the meetings and partings he experiences along the way, Aladdin will also learn of his own fate…
