Sometimes things move fast in the world of moviemaking, other times it seems glacially slow, which was the case between Quantum of Solace and Skyfall. With the latter having made over a billion dollars worldwide theatrically, you know the pressure is on for the next and Daniel Craig is signed on for two more films in his deal. In a new conference call for MGM investors, it was revealed by the CEO, Gary Barber, that they have a few things in the works.
“We are currently developing the screenplay and working with our partners. We look forward to developing the script soon and signing a director. We are hoping within the next 3 years it will be released.”
With directors changing up for Bond being fairly common to say the least, this isn’t a surprise and Sam Mendes has lready said he won’t return. While Mendes isn’t coming back, writer John Logan is returning as the pair did work on a story idea together during the Skyfall production and it’s expected to be the seed for the twenty-fourth installment in the franchise.
