While the series languishes in English speaking territories, another one of the modern classics is getting its leap to Blu-ray with Giant Robo announced for the format for South Korea. This edition is similar to the Japanese release in terms of layout and extras but it’s Japanese and Korean language only, coming from a 4K film scan HD remaster edition. The set also comes with Korean subtitles and will retail for, as of this moment in currency conversion, for just pennies under $100 US. Check below for the Google translate version of what the set will encompass, which is quite a lot.

Plot Concept: It is a new dawn for mankind. The Shizuma Drive has brought clean, limitless energy and launched humanity into an age of prosperity. But even in this Eden of technology, there lurk the shadows of envy and greed, and Big Fire, a secret brotherhood, seeks to direct the world toward chaos!

The world is protected by the Experts of Justice, a team of operatives assembled from around the globe to stop the ultimate disaster of The Eternal Night, and the key to everything is the bravery of their newest member, Daisaku Kusama, and the great machine he commands – Giant Robo!
