While having your favorite show done in gag for may make some of the hardcore fans… well, gag, they’re providing to be fairly popular with other fans and those outside of that particular shows audience. The latest one to get this kind of comical adaptation is Fist of the North Star, which is adapting the gag manga series by Kaijo as two new promos have been released for it. Based on the original manga work by Tetsuo Hara, who is participating in this as an animation supervisor, Akitaro Daichi will be helming the show and he definitely has plenty of experience with gag anime and manga.

The series is set for debut on April 3rd, 2013 at 1:40 AM and is coming at a big time for the franchise overall as this year is the 30th anniversary, which is pretty scary when you think about it.

Plot concept: in the year 199x, mankind was … not engulfed in the flames of nuclear war?

In the 21st century, the characters of Fist of the North Star are living in peaceful Japan. In particular, Kenshirō is a convenience store worker, Raoh works at a factory, and wracked by illness, Toki is looking for work. The legend of the Fighting NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) North Star begins in the modern day.
