In preparation for their next trip, Aoi invites Kokona over to help her cook snacks.

As much fun as Aoi and Hinata are having on their trips, they’re still keeping things pretty light with their larger goals. One of those things that they need to get better at is dealing with what they can cook while out camping. So Aoi sets up a cooking gig with her and Kokona in order to build her skills a bit, since Aoi is entranced by the riverside cooks that she sees on some of her trips. This brings her and Kokona together a bit more, which is nice since Kokona’s pretty cute and fun. While they do this, we get to see things from Hinata’s point of view a bit, showing us how excited she is about knowing Aoi again after all this time but also a nod towards her fears of being annoying to her re-discovered friend.
In Summary:
While we’ve had a lot of fun with the two main girls together, this episode separates them and pairs them with others. Its main focus is on Aoi and Kokona and that’s definitely fine with me as there’s a relaxed nature about it that draws you in well as the two cook and just spend time together. As Aoi says during it, there’s something about idle conversations and just simple pleasantness. But we also get to see things from Hinata’s point of view as well and that makes her just as appealing as she’s so glad to have her friend back in her life and is doing her best to contain herself just a bit, since she doesn’t want to be the annoying friend.
