Twilight - Breaking Dawn Part 2

It’s little surprise that in its first full week of release, with Lionsgate touting nearly four million copies sold, that Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 has taken the top of the charts. It’s a big seller as the finale in the series – at least until the inevitable box set and then a reboot down the line – as everyone gets to polish off their collections, especially with the people who have “grown up” with it throughout their teenage years. The only other new release to chart this week is rather amusing as we get Barbie in the Pink Shoes, so…. well, what else can you say there. The rest of the top five rounds out well with Argo, Skyfall and the second season of Game of Thrones. Sinister and Monsters, Inc. are holding up well and the big one doing well here long term so far is Hotel Transylvania, which has to be keeping Sony Pictures quite happy.
