Star Wars Thursday: Crunchy Goodness Edition

2 min read

Star Wars Crunchy 1Welcome to this week’s edition of Star Wars Thursday, a celebration of all things fun, wild, and wacky in the Star Wars universe!

There are very few formal dinners at my house. Frequently, our lives are busy enough that “breakfast for dinner” becomes the meal of choice. As I pondered possible themes for this week’s post while pouring myself a bowl of cereal, I got it. The only way a breakfast could be for champions would be by including the Force.

The box shown above was one of a limited number of specially designed boxes given out during Celebration V. Color me jealous! My favorite is probably the Wookiee Crisp cereal, though I don’t think I would pay $25 on Ebay to get my own box.

Check out the rest of the designs at LolLibrary.

While Jabba Hutts, Wookiee Crisps, and the others were created specifically for Celebration – there have been real, marketed Star Wars cereals over the years. This video is a commercial for C-3PO cereal. I wonder if eating it allows you to become fluent in over six million forms of communication. If so, that’s a pretty good deal!

If you are curious about all the cereal boxes that have included Star Wars giveaways around the world (and who wouldn’t be, right?) the internet comes to your rescue! There is an entire website devoted to being a “Comprehensive Star Wars Cereal Box Checklist”. Go ahead, check it out… just be sure to come back here!

Don’t sit down to breakfast without a hot beverage! Once again, Thinkgeek comes to our rescue with an assortment of perfect morning refreshment. You get your choice of Dark Side Coffee, Hoth Side Cocoa, or Dagobah Green Tea. Mmmmm…. that’s the best part of waking up.

No matter what time you read this, it’s the perfect time for breakfast. Until next week – may the Force be with you.
