After a pretty public split several years ago, Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes studio is set to work with Megan Fox again after ditching her for the third Transformers movie after some heated comments between the two. According to Bay’s site, “TMNT: we are bringing Megan Fox back into the family!”

Production is expected to start in April on the film, which has been a bit mired in controversy in the past year or so with some of what was being done, including the naming, which makes the use of TMNT interesting as it was just going to be called Ninja Turtles before. Fox’s role in the feature was not indicated but it’s pretty much a given that she’ll take on the role of April O’Neil, the well known character in the series that works as a reporter and is the main human ally to the Turtles.

The film is set to be directed by Jonathan Liebsman who is working off of a script by Josh Appelbaum, Andrew Nemec, Art Marcum, Matt Holloway and John Fusco. The film currently has a planned May 16th, 2014 release date.
