‘Kiki’s Delivery Service’ & ‘Only Yesterday’ Getting English Subtitled Taiwanese Blu-ray Release

While the North American Blu-ray releases for Studio Ghibli titles continue to come out in dribs and drabs, the films manage to get better and more varied releases overseas. The latest comes from Deltamac in Taiwan where two films are getting release on Blu-ray/DVD combo packs on March 8th as Kiki’s Delivery Service and Only Yesterday will debut, both with english subtitles alongside traditional Chinese and Japanese subtitles. The language tracks are kept to the original Japanese as well as a Mandarin dub. With Only Yesterday, it’s worth noting that the film has not seen release in North America at all and the Japanese only got a Blu-ray release themselves at the end of 2012.

All three releases will be Region A releases, making them playable in North American/South American players.
