The Review:
Content: (please note that content portions of a review may contain spoilers)
The weird obsessive nature of the characters continues to be one of the more amusing parts of things here, such as the way Ishida is just so boob focused. It can get old quickly in a lengthy series but manages to work well enough here, especially with his deadpan style. His interest in the daughter of his teacher is comical since it’s a young girl who is the complete opposite of Kinoshita. Which is awkward to think about considering Kinoshita is a guy dressing up as a woman and is far more stacked and feminine. The big problem is that the girl is just so young that she doesn’t have what he’s looking for, which makes it even more awkward.
Asakura’s intent of finding a big breasted girl also continues to be a problem between him and Ishida, since he wants to be a teacher to be around them all the time. With Yamada talking about wanting to open a store like Ishida, Asakura at least makes the plea that they should work together towards that goal since Asakura has his own interests. Yamada takes things in a violent if comical nature this time around since we see the whole robot aspect of it and it naturally doesn’t go the way anyone wants it to, though there are some amusing quick bits to it.
In Summary:
Taking in two episodes at once doesn’t really change the nature of the show, though I can see sitting down for the whole series at once to be a pretty trippy experience under the right conditions. The show continues to work the main problem in that Asakura has his goals and they’re not the same as Ishida’s and it’s going to cause more and more conflict. Not that Asakura’s goals are all that noble, but at least both young men are honest about what they want and are pursuing it in their own weird and unusual way. The four minutes these two episodes run in total have some cute gags to them and visuals, especially the Iron Yamada, but like previous episodes it’s good for a grin and then moving on.
