As is the case sometimes, not everyone can make it to student council meetings and you have just a few people there. Which when it’s just Ken and Sakurano, it can be a bit awkward since it’s a big room with just two people and not much to get accomplished. Ken at least tries to put a little humor into things with what he has to do in getting her to understand the situation, but when dealing with Sakurano it’s just going to go weirdly from the start. She’s so spastic and problematic at times that the smallest things can become decent sized problems. With mildly amusing results that Ken has to deal with. The two of them have a bit of a fun dynamic between them, but there’s not much about either of them that really matters at this point.

The two of them basically spend the bulk of the episode doing silly things and games within the council room and little else beyond that. Some of it is fun and amusing to watch since they go all out, which is Sakurano’s way, but mostly it’s just another big time waster that doesn’t do much for either character. There are some amusing gags along the way though, since there’s plenty of sexual connotations to it. The same can be said elsewhere as we see Chizuru and Mafuyu out shopping together and Mafuyu goes on about there being a difference between being into S&M and what a top and bottom is. It’s done with such a cuteness to it that you can’t help but laugh at it. Sadly, the two don’t get anywhere near enough screen time to really have a lot of fun on their own.

The second half of the episode brings in a new character named Ringo, who is Ken’s younger sister. And like any younger sister in a series like this, she’s got the hots for her brother in a really sweet kind of way and just wants him for herself. She’s got that very adorable look down without being all frilly about it which makes it fun to watch how she interacts with him, even when she helps him get an activation code for an adult game that he owns. With Ringo being a step sister, it’s not as creepy as it could be, though Ken isn’t interested in her in that way. It causes some conflict here and there, especially with their parents, but the described reactions are comical and probably better than seeing them play out.

In Summary:
While the first half is mostly empty fluff with some cute bits here and there, the second half helps improve things as it spends its time on a phone conversation between Ken and his step sister. She’s ready to go pretty far with him and it does confuse him at times since his male nature takes over when his common sense says not to do certain things and you have to laugh at how it unfolds and how problematic things are for the Sugisaki family, especially the next time that Ken returns home for a visit. The second half provided a lot more laughs than I expected after the first half – and the previous four episodes – and has left me wanting a series with just these two characters since there’s more fun material there than anywhere else so far.
