Oh for the day when a flash drive can give you an energy boost.

With the show having some mild amusement at times, it’s a kind of hit or miss part with a violent streak that does tend to amuse more than I expected it would. It’s not gutter humor, but more gutter material would help. The way the show pivots so easily and quickly is comical since it goes from a basic fight here among the girls to suddenly being inside a time tunnel does manage to work in its own weird way. Of course, the only way to get out of the time tunnel that the classroom is caught up in is through a pot that they have, but it can only take one of them. That leads to some cute power ups as the fight goes on, especially with the old school feel with the Super Saiyan aspect.

In Summary:
It all makes sense in the end, though part of you knows that the show didn’t have to go that route and it would still all work. Ai Mai Mi isn’t about the characters all that much and is just intent on being weird, wacky, violent and nonsensical. I can’t say that the show has made me a fan or that I like any of the characters, but it continues to be three minutes of weirdness and insanity that barrels through quickly and amusingly. This episode is no different but as a whole it still makes me wish it had that extra bit to it that would make it all the more enjoyable.
