What kinds of clubs would the various characters belong to in high school?

The Axis boys investigate W Academy’s various clubs, including the Gourmet Club, the Witchcraft Club, and the Man, France is Looking REALLY Good Lately Club. Okay, that last one’s not a real thing. But, seriously, France is looking REALLY good lately.

Hetalia takes a fun twist here as it introduces us to W Academy, aka Hetalia Academy, where all the countries go to learn about the world, each other and their place in it. With the introduction of it here, we get to see the Axis characters going through various clubs to see what they’re like, though they put their own spin on it through the newspaper club. Their investigation is over some of the more unusual clubs that seem to exist this year by going to interview them to figure out what they’re like. Some are simple and obvious like the chorus club, which has a lot of bounce, but others are a little more odd such as the witchcraft club. We get to see a few other countries as characters here, such as Estonia and Russia, but the one that made me laugh the most was USA’s “Hero Club” which is short and over the top. The gourmet has some of the sharpest barbs though about who’s not allowed in it though which definitely has some very good laughs to it.
In Summary:
Hetalia sticks to the primary trio of the Axis Powers for the most part here as we see them as the newspaper club in the W Academy and that lets us see a variety of clubs and characters in their “natural” setting. The way some of them tweak each other with the other students, who can belong and who can’t, makes for some good laughs, especially since they smartly drop in their names in script form next to them when new characters appear. Sometimes it’s just hard to remember who is who outside of the main cast. USA kind of stole the show for me, but the gourmet club came in a very close second.
