Crunchyroll has announced the first of today’s new simulcast acquisition announcements with news that they’ve picked up the rights to Ishida & Asakura. The series is based off of the short run manga series of the same name that ran from 2001 to the summer of 2012 with one compiled volume released as created by mangaka Masao. The series is set to premiere on January 5th and 8pm ET and will show weekly Saturday’s thereafter for its run for premium members and a week later for new episodes for free members. The show will be available to audiences in the U.S., Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Middle East, and South America.
Plot Concept: The friendship of high school boys can be a unique and oftentimes surreal existence for outsiders looking in. Of course, the friendship between our protagonists Ishida and Asakura, are no different. Join these two crazy characters as they get into all sorts of hilarious antics this winter season!
