Top Ten DVD & Blu-ray Rentals & Sales For December 23rd, 2012
The second to last week of the year brings a few chances to the charts, though more so in the sales area than the rentals. This week is notable as The Avengers drops out of the top ten after twelve weeks there to make way for four new titles that have hit for the week ending on December 23rd. While Ted holds onto the top spot, Total Recall hits the #4 spot while Resident Evil: Retribution hits the #10 spot. Other new arrivals includes Pitch Perfect and Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days, neither of which can topple The Dark Knight Rises but still will do very well overall.
The rental side does pretty well though only two releases are new here, with Total Recall snagging the top spot while Stolen arrives in the #10 spot. The list doesn’t shift too much here as films continue to extend their range with largely second and third tier releases that are worth checking out but not owning or going to the theater for.
