Hugh Jackman In Talks For ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’

2 min read

With the recent announcement of Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart joining the cast for X-Men: Days of Future Past under director Bryan Singer, it looks like there may be a bit more of a reunion happening. According to the latest reports, Hugh Jackman is in negotiations to reprise his Wolverine character in the sequel. Jackman is currently filming The Wolverine, which has been stated as taking place after X-Men 3, though Bryan Singer and X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn have both said that that film and X-Men Origins: Wolverine aren’t part of the continuity they’re working with. Jackman had a brief and hugely effective cameo in X-Men: First Class that fans enjoyed and helped to bind things together a bit more, so bringing him in even if just for that kind of piece again or something bigger would definitely help to solidify things for many, or confuse them even more.

Comic Concept: It was the best of times, it was the worst of times: Relive the legendary first journey into the dystopian future of 2013 – where Sentinels stalk the Earth, and the X-Men are humanity’s only hope…until they die! Also featuring the first appearance of Alpha Flight, the return of the Wendigo, the history of the X-Men from Cyclops himself…and a demon for Christmas!? Collecting UNCANNY X-MEN (1963) #138-143 and X-MEN ANNUAL #4.
