While we’ve seen some material in the past with Moe trying to get Poyo into the magazine world, she gets that kind of feeling again here after seeing a magazine dedicated to pictures of fat cats. That fits Poyo to a tee, though you do have Hide trying to say that it’s all muscle, which Poyo doesn’t care for too much either. The whole photograph aspect is hilarious with what she gets as results. The episode plays with some other areas as well, giving us some time with Papa Sato at last as he installs a new bookcase and we see the “magical” effects of it, which are just comical and a welcome reference to popular literature.

In Summary:
Poyopoyo does some nice little callbacks here to much earlier in the series with the idea of Poyo getting photographed and put into the magazines. Of course, it was a different kind of cat magazine then and now Moe will be happy just getting him into a fat cat magazine. Poyo handles the whole thing well enough and the episode as a whole has a number of very cute, quick hit gags that work just right. Even with the short run time, the whole thing never feels like it’s rushed in a way that most other shows do of this nature, giving Poyopoyo a much more enjoyable pace.
