It may be a bit odd to say “the first image,” but it’s pretty much true as we’re getting a Wolverine film that’s supposed to be relatively disconnected from everything else and just focuses on the character and this particular adventure. With Hugh Jackman having played this character for quite a few years now, it’s good to see he can still bring the physicality of it all to it and there’s definitely something dangerous about the image presented below. The feature, directed by James Mangold, is set to land on July 26th, 2013 and is currently filming in both Australia and Japan.
Plot Concept: The Wolverine finds Logan, the eternal warrior and outsider, in Japan. There, samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed.
