It’s still easy to see why a lot of film fans will mock this, but for those that have been involved with the toys and especially the video games, the idea of a big picture LEGO movie is exciting. LEGO: The Piece Of Resistance has added two new voice actors to its stables as things get underway with Morgan Freeman and Elizabeth banks joining the cast, as well as getting a look at the general plot. According to what’s been said, “an ordinary Lego mini-figure, mistakenly thought to be the extraordinary MasterBuilder, is recruited to join a quest to stop an evil Lego tyrant from gluing the universe together.”
Further info came out later on via Variety that said, “In LEGO movie, LIZZIE BANKS will play Pratt’s bad-ass ex-g/f, while M.FREEMAN will play a blind sage described as Gandalf meets Mr. Magoo.”
At this stage, it’s been reported that Will Arnett will be playing LEGO Batman in this and Channing Tatum was approached to play LEGO Superman, but Tatum isn’t a lock or confirmed at this point.
