With Arrow set to premiere on October 10th at 8pm in the US, there’s still casting going on as the series has quite a few episodes to work through. Set to appear in the sixth episode for a multiple episode arc is the character of Huntress, who has been cast with Jessica De Gouw to take on the role. From Australia, she’s been in movies such as the recent Underbelly. The character is a long time staple of comics but has been reworked many times over the years. She fits into the real world aspect that Arrow is trying to build off well though, making her an ideal character to include both for action and for a possible romantic interest.
“Helena is a potential love interest for Oliver Queen; a fellow vigilante, set on destroying her father’s organized crime empire,” reads a character description. “But Helena’s blind pursuit of revenge will put her on a collision course with the Arrow.”
