Wahoo indeed!

What They Say:
Hiroshi told Chitose she should spend time playing with her friends instead of visiting him. Chitose solves that problem in her own way.

While the show was billed about Chitose’s interest in her teacher, Hiroshi, he’s been largely absent from the series outside of a few bits here and there. That’s fixed this time around as Chitose has come to the welfare department to spend time with him only to have him tell her she needs to go play with her friends instead. That seems like it works at first as she bolts off in joy, but it’s just a prelude to the storm to come as she decides to have all her friends and classmates come with her to visit and watch him, which is hysterical and creepy at the same time. The whole peeking from behind the counter gag is slow but hilarious as it unfolds.

In Summary:
The lack of Hiroshi has been a problem for me with the series since I was curious to see how they’d play up that angle since it can make so many people uncomfortable. We’ve had more time with student and teacher than student and Hiroshi, so this fixes that to a good degree and just shows how far Chitose will go to do what needs to be done to spend time with her Hiroshi. The cast is kept simple, though the other girls do appear, and it’s focused on the two primaries with a lovely dash of the disciplinarian teacher making her impact felt. Simple, silly but effective.
